Wasting away again in Margaritaville
... maken. Handig! Hup in het rijtje en gaan. En toen konden we na 2 minuten dat eind weer terug. Ging wel een stuk sneller natuurlijk. Het doel van vandaag was de Blooming Onion bij Outback Steakhouse. En damn die was lekker! Gelukkig wel minder groot dan ik had verwacht, dus we hebben m op. High into the Stratosphere!
Our attempts to rise early worked this time, this is surprising since we stayed up late to photograph the stars; which was amazing. I forgot to by the trigger for my camera for time lapse shots so had to think on my toes and, rather ten stand with my hand on the button for an hour, I held a rubber on using a hair band - thrifty. It came out really well and it amazed us how much the stars moved in that time. We both found that we quite enjoyed lurking in the darkness ...
Viva Las Vegas
... of burgers, before this trip I'd eaten about 1 in about 18 months and during my time in Denver I've averaged one every two days! Turns out In-n-Out burger is pretty awesome, and very fresh - cooked onion on it was the best! I really don't like the French fries though, I miss the good Aussie chicken and chip shops! Afterwards we wander over to Walmart for some CD's so tomorrow I can use my laptop to make some more driving music.

Day 1 at Las Vegas
I guess people travel to Las Vegas for many purposes. This trip of mine is mainly to get away from Vancouver. For many reasons, I felt very "stuck". I guess a lot of it has to do with me being used to traveling at least once a year and the last time I went on a trip was more than 2 years ago. So I've decided to do a trip during BC Day long weekend, with a couple of extra vacation days tacked on, of course.

There's no such thing as a free Vegas show
... were Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Elvis, Elton John, Tom Jones, Tina Turner, Sonny and Cher to name just some. There was also 2 guys who did an amazing tap dance routine, another 2 guys who did a hand balancing act and a chap who did a comic routine on a trampoline. All in all the show was fantastic, the singing strong and vibrant and the costumes sensational. An awesome show. All the hassles of the morning and getting the tickets were well worth the effort. ...
