... Southern Methodist University. This school was perhaps the prettiest that we have visited so far and then we went to the President George W. Bush 43 Library which is located on the SMU campus. This museum and library for President Bush 43 had many, many technological features but I still enjoyed his father's museum better. At noon we left for our next road trip to Waco and then on to Fort Worth. A quick stop at a Mickey D's for a coke. (59 cents for seniors) Sally had her peanuts while I worked on the blog. Gas at a 7-11 in Hillsboro. In Waco, we ...

... or "southern", kit will end up around 16-18 lbs before food and water. Two years ago, I dealt with a 65 lb bag over the course of a two month hike around the Pacific Northwest and Rebecca had a whopping 70 lb bag for her very first backpacking adventure, in which she was also the group guide. We know heavy. I am content with 18 lbs and have hit a point where I no longer have anything else I am willing to cut out of the equation. I wrote up ...
