... to recall the events of that day. The cockroach museum lightened things up for us- it was a quick, but memorable stop( wink, wink!). Our drive to Austin was full of exclamations-"Blue Bonnets!! Blue Bonnets on the right!!" The roadside was so colorful. Once in Austin, it was fried chicken at Lucy's- fun to sit out in the cool evening air with a tin bucket of fried chicken- and some FRIED deviled eggs. ... I explored the apartment, (nothing special but fantastic location), appreciated the great view, and got my first wonderful meal...a greek salad with smoked salmon and fresh mozzarella that was to die for!
The apartment was freezing once the sun went down...there was only a space heater built into the wall...really? That's all people ever need??? But, my bed was so comfortable and I had a great duvet, so I huddled under it and slept fabulously...good omen for the ...
