From there we headed across to the Concord Airport business park to the Richard Petty shop. As a small team, there wasn't much to see here, but the ladies on the front desk went out of their way to help us find some Petty memorabilia to bring back home with us. Really friendly place. Ok, so today we have a really boring update - we drove.
We set out from Washington this morning with the view of making it to Greensboro in North Carolina. But after lunch today we made a decision to press on to Kannapolis or Concord for the night. As we were discussing out options, it made sense to do 2 nights in the heart of Nascar country, and do a solid 5 hour drive to Savannah on Friday morning. So as it plays out, we have all day tomorrow in Charlotte to visit race ...
... well it sort of worked. Anyway we did stay for the entire concert but then made a rapid escape to the semi warmth of "G/G".
I have the computer at the front where the computer desk is located and the temp here is 57, I have a blanket over my lap and I can still feel cold area coming in. One day I will figure out from where it is coming and fix it! But for now, will just have to use a blanket.
Tomorrow more seminars and socializing.
