    While listening to my most favorite song at the moment (Turtle, by Alana Davis), I've realized my trip has BEGUN!!!! It wasn't real until now. I'm sitting at my seat on my way to JFK airport, waiting for my dinner, and I don't really have much to say except that my excitement is finally here. No worrying, no doubting, just excitement.     ... and lovely craft stalls and Val, I, Holly and Eli had a really really great day wandering the stalls. There was music and laughter and we ate loads and drank plenty and generally revelled in the chance to wander in the sunshine.

    Sunday, Holly took Val and I out to another of her bird watching haunts. We saw so many more birds, and Holly was great at hearing their calls and identifying them so that she'd know what to look for and where. We saw woodpeckers ...

    ... Peru. I must say thanks for all the advice and suggestions I have had from friends along the way (Kate, Martha, Paul and others) that have shared their Peruvian experiences. Also, notes of thanks to CJ for letting me borrow his camera lens and to Phil for lending me his Nepalese Sherpa hat to keep my ears warm.
