... FFN, because they would simply count those 2 nights as 1 stay. Hence, it is necessary to move from one hotel to another, spending one night in one property on Friday night, and another night in another property on Saturday night. Thankfully, we are fortunate enough to live in Denver where there are multiple Hyatt Places and Hyatt Summerfield Suites to bounce around between! (Washington DC is reputed to be the best turf for this game, with Atlanta a close ...

... so we weren't able to get him started. We did find him an RTD security unit who promised to take care of him. Hope he made it in out of the cold eventually!
The car didn't get towed, it started, and the house hasn't burned down. This means the trip is officially over, and was successful. I am off to work, feeling a little buggy eyed about what time zone I'm in.
Trip superlatives still coming.
... surrounded by snow and ice which is strange in august but gives you an idea of temperatures!! The views the whole way up were absolutely stunning, and, like Mt Kenya, ever changing all the way to the top.
Now it is time to go and wake the campers from their rest and get ready for the last Vespers and Dance of the summer. More to follow.

Dear Readers, In one week, I head to Spain, not revolutionary news coming from someone with a gold card on United Airlines. But this trip is unlike all others I have done. I will be the historian-in-residence for the first ever trip of Davai, a new experiment in global Jewish identity travel. The flight was smooth and we touched down in Chicago on time. Chicago airport is something else. It is massive. Almost a small town to itself. I knew it was big, but when I had to catch a train to get my baggage it really hit home how big it was! I re-checked in my bags and then headed off another few miles to the terminal and lounge where my flight to Denver ...
Denver, Colorado, United States loxiasThis was my first day of the mission trip. From what I remember, it was mostly worship and hanging out for the night and getting ready for our assignments for the week. Since I don't remember much from it, I won't go into to daily detail. Every day though I went to a boys and girls club and hung out with kids all day. It was an amazing experience and helped fuel me to go on more mission trips.
