Drove to Story City, Iowa today. The weather was not good today, in fact we drove through pour down rain for about 1 1/2 hrs as we passed through Kansas City and northward. The campground was wet from all the rain and not as pretty as it was the last time we stayed here 4 years ago. Smokey hasn't been sleeping well and has been crying during the night. I guess it is too much going on for him. Needless to say, we haven't been sleeping too ...

Anthony got a couple of leads on a roommate today, but we're not getting our hopes up too much. Crashing soon and looking forward to crossing the halfway point tomorrow.

Bob and I are preparing for our two month adventure in Spain. We are attempting to hike 10k every morning and have now added another 10k in the afternoon. Along with the hikes, we have added our backpacks. The question now we are asking each other often, "Why are we doing this?" It seems silly to work this hard in retirement. The Camino is referred to as 'The road of Reflection', so maybe we will figure this ...

      Night 30: Endless Nebraska

... pounds of mail from the eastern terminus in St. Joseph, MO, across the dangerous West to California's Central Valley. It was good to stretch out. On the way out of town we stopped at Runza's for a good greasy burger. This fueled us for some more miles of Nebraska blankness. Usually I don't have issues with driving across such distances (I have attention surplus disorder), but my leg was hurting and it felt like we weren't getting anywhere. We passed Grand ...
