    ... volumous... And she is blind. She loves Frida Kahlo and has Klimt on the walls and we talked for ages. Her daughter is in NZ so she has my email in case her daughter comes to Oz and wants to look me up. When I arrived at the Courthouse square about 10 or 12 musicians were jamming so I sat down to listen. One came over straight away and asked if I was a musician. Unfortunately no. When he found out I was from Australia I got introduced and one of them had lived in Cairns ...

    ... them, it looked magical. Everyone is very friendly, I have shaken hands with a Desert Storm veteran in his Bike Club regalia. Been wished 'a top of the morning to you'. Had street busking guitarists set up right near us as we had coffee to lighten our day. And last but not least meet Zarina in Juliette's Jewels who would like to come to Australia, so we are Facebook friends now so she knows where the good places are; e.g. Townsville North Queensland ...

    ... to recall the events of that day. The cockroach museum lightened things up for us- it was a quick, but memorable stop( wink, wink!). Our drive to Austin was full of exclamations-"Blue Bonnets!! Blue Bonnets on the right!!" The roadside was so colorful. Once in Austin, it was fried chicken at Lucy's- fun to sit out in the cool evening air with a tin bucket of fried chicken- and some FRIED deviled eggs. Yep- gotta get a cholesterol check once we return ...

    ... pretty much exactly the same as it was in 1963.

    We were planning on going to the plaza and museum, but wanted to get some coffee first. On a Sunday at 11 in the morning, evidently, there is not much going on in Dallas except for people going to church. We tried to find a place for coffee and finally found a bakery. A cop was sitting outside at one of the outdoor cafe tables eating a sandwich as we walked up. He let us try the door before he looked ...

    ... I had a shortened week and decided to take off for my birthday to get a facial and massage. All I was looking forward to was a day off. It was pretty relaxing. When I got home Adam surprised me with a nice Jewerly Armoire from Pier One. Now he just has to fill it :) I also came home to a very cute little flower birthday cake, chocolates, and balloons with cards from grandma and then a surprise package in the mail ...
