... GIVE YOU A PERSPECTIVE OF ITS SIZE. There are four benches each 12"x36" and an altar. We stopped, I said a prayer and took a picture. Crossing over the Missouri River in South Dakota seems weird. It starts even farther up north. Deric, get out your US map and trace the Missouri River with your finger. It's a big one but not as big as the Mississippi River which we'll also go across. Lexi, can you find and trace the Mississippi ...

Now for just a few general observations about the journey so far:

          1. The people are genuinely really friendly and helpful.

The power poles are approximately 100 feet tall metal, and apparently the local power company uses a helicopter to get guys from pole to pole to work on them. The helicopter yo weed at the power pole to let the guy transfer to the arm with the wires. Who knew ...

We started our day enjoying the free wifi with the kids in our Baraboo hotel while Mom & Dad got ready. The kids are really loving the free wifi on this trip!

As we left, we put the Wisconsin state sticker on the van since we will be leaving Wisconsin and heading West. Not sure if we'll make it as far as South Dakota tonight but that is our goal.

My new buddy and I wanted to drive but Mom wouldn't let us.

Woke up fresh and raring to go after a great nights sleep - one thing about the USA, their beds are top class and when a double room means two queen sized beds, it's glorious to stretch out and enjoy the comfort and space!!! We hit the Interstate lacking coffee because Kodaka is a bit too small for a coffee shop, and they're a little short on restaurants too - last nights dinner was in a very scratchy diner inside a Subway outlet! Nevertheless my steak sanger was pretty ...
