    Minnesota Stop

Another drive day but a stop in another state to get a sticker for our US map. Drove Interstate 90 along the southern part of MN and saw farm fields the whole way. Amish in the fields with their horses and plows reminds us of not giving into the modern day life. Our stop in Adrian is in a city park. It is all grass and big trees. Without anyone here it is lovely. The trees are home to the Common Grackle and they were diving and squawking ...

A good day of food and fun

... took Izzie over to the pool for a swim. Mom and Dad bought her a little inflatable so she enjoyed sitting in the water and splashing about. When we got back, Dave made an excellent dinner. Dave is quite a good cook. By the time dinner was over, Izzie was ready for bed so the kids headed back to the condo. About this time, the hockey game started. I love it when the stars align and the Black Hawks win.

    The Perfect Night with Izzie

... again crying. It didn't look good for the home team. But with another bottle, Izzie was asleep again. Next thing I knew it was 5:30AM and I awoke with Izzie crawling around the bed. Izzie is very quiet in the morning - talking quietly to herself. She likes to move around a bit. Getting kicked in the stomach and face is part of the game. In addition, it is not uncommon for Izzie to check things out in your nose or mouth. We did our best to act like we were sleeping ...

... a few minutes, it was Grandma that has the knack of laying Izzie down and putting her to sleep. So while Sheila took care of Izzie, I took a nap as well.

We finished the day with dinner at a local restaurant. Izzie is very close to walking on her own so it was fun walking with her in the restaurant.

    Corn, corn and more corn!

A travel blog entry by trevorrose on Aug 19, 2014

Woke up fresh and raring to go after a great nights sleep - one thing about the USA, their beds are top class and when a double room means two queen sized beds, it's glorious to stretch out and enjoy the comfort and space!!! We hit the Interstate lacking coffee because Kodaka is a bit too small for a coffee shop, and they're a little short on restaurants too - last nights dinner was in a very scratchy diner inside a Subway outlet! Nevertheless my steak sanger was pretty ...
