As I said, I have been driving my butt off, simply because - just how much corn in the fields do you really need to see, so I havent been stopping to take too my pictures in the last few days.
Tonite, I am writing from Battle Creek, Michigan and tomorrow I will be going thru the Detroit/Windsor, Ontario Tunnels, heading toward Buffalo ( Go Bills ! ) and then to Vermont

Departure
Well, we're finishing up some things and finishing packing. Packing on the motorcycle really makes you think! We'll see such temperature extremes, it's hard to know what we'll need. It's 43 degrees at home this morning, and we expect to see the 90's in Florida. I sure hope it warmes up fast, I prefer it over 52! Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota
Today was a lazy start... we had slept at a rest stop between Sauk Centre and St. Cloud, Minnesota but got a better nights sleep than usual after trading spots (Madeline was now in the back seat and Sigrid in the passenger seat). We took turns washing our hair in the nice rest area sinks. Sigrid set up the stove and boiled water for tea and potatoes for lunch. Well the time has flown by and it's finally time to go! I fly out for orientation on Sunday then on Tuesday we fly out for TZ! I hope that I have everything packed, but I based packing off of another girl who was in TZ not long ago. Definitely helpful! I've been progressing in my Swahili lessons, however, it's going to take quite a bit of time really be functional at this language. I hope that everyone is well~! I'll miss you all! Peace ...
