Well, I'm happy to announce that my cravings have been satisfied. This past weekend I had a huge burger (which was no smaller than the circumference of my face) paired with crunchy fries to top it off. Where did I have this burger? Oh you know, just a typical Mexican restaurant. The irony of having my last ...

Washed the car in Eugene and Sioux Falls...really dirty both times.

I spent a morning at the Mall of America, simply because I felt like I couldn't NOT go.  WOW!  That place is HUGE!  I wandered around for a few hours, skipping the national chains, and trying to take a peak inside the local stores.  I did not know that there were roller coasters before I went -- had I know, I probably would have allowed myself more time. While speaking with Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, and reading blogs of those that are currently serving, I feel that I have had a chance to learn some of the key lessons that will benefit me while working in Senegal. One of the strategies that I will be able to use while working with other people is patience; this is something that can never be overused. I will be patient while I am getting to know my new friends, co-workers, and family ...

... the scale to finals happening on Sunday. We didn't go Sunday. We were there from 02:00pm until about 06:00pm. Also, hooked up with some of Mimi's American Indian friends.
The DaKota tribe gave a great feast during lunch time. It was full of goodies and was FREE!
The tribe feeds many every Pow-Wow both Saturday and Sunday.
All in all, it was a really fun weekend.
      Hope you enjoy!
