... we will take the midnight flight to Lima. While waiting, mom and I went "out" for dinner at a Cuban restaurant. We ate yuca, fried chicken, fried fish, spanish rice and plantains. The food was only ok but for the taste the price should be lower.
During the plane ride I like sitting by the window and seeing the view when we are in the clouds I took two pictures.
I don't want to bore you guys so I'll add more when I get to Lima.
On our way into Superior Wisconsin, that is the across the river from Duluth MN, we saw a billboard advertising 20 year, 200,000 mile warranties on new Ford Cars. We couldn't believe our eyes. Closer to the bridge, we saw lake freighters in drydock, and others unloading or loading from grain elevators.
Stopped to photograph a great mural that adorned a drape protecting a building under renovation, and discovered several other murals in the small town.
We carried on travelling through Superior Wisconsin and then to Duluth
MN. Just as we entered Superior we noticed a large billboard advertising
new Ford vehicles with a 20 year, 200,000 MILE warranty!! Unfortunately
we were past it before we thought of taking a picture. Wish that could
be in Canada.

The bite didn't hurt much as it only got the top and sole of my shoe, and it let go when I started pedaling again, but the whole situation only reinforced my thoughts that I need some sort of stick. A stick for passing cars that get too close, annoying kitschy mailboxes, kids on Ripsticks, and now dogs. My hosts this evening recommend Halt, a sort of dog pepper spray.
