Day 25 It rained in St Pauls today so we didn't walk far from the hotel. However we did come across a lot of Charlie Brown and friends statues. The creator of the comic strip Peanuts - Schultz is from St Pauls. We also went through the Landmark building, which has a fascinating history. In the afternoon we joined the American Queen Steamboat. It is beautiful - full of period furniture and ...

    ... get home ASAP.

4pm: Packed the car down, said bye to my parents.

4:30pm: rushed to drop off Shelby at Wagging Tails kennel

5pm: got home and the boys and I jumped into the rental and took off. Mom gave the boys a gift, which kept them busy along the ride.

11pm: got to Chicago. Met up with Jacinda at the cellphone lot near Ohare. Turned in the rental car and we headed to South Bend.

12:30pm Got to South Bend Holiday Inn and went to bed.

Surprise! I was home for the Holidays!

Lastly, it was also so much fun surprising different sets of friends too. Dang Facebook gave it away to others though (sorry!). I did my best to delete any posts each day, ...

It went from a 40% chance of rain as of yesterday to an 80% chance of rain as of five minutes ago. I guess it's just preparation for the rainy season I am heading into in Uganda! I am toughing it out though - I am planning on going on a canal ride and walking around the city...I will just make ...

... slept in a bit this morning. What a nice feeling to lay in bed for a few extra minutes and just relax. After a great breakfast and a short break in the rain, Brian and I took the bikes into Twin Cities Harley Davidson and MotoPrimo Honda for maintenance. They did a great job and got us out quickly. We picked up waterproof gloves (I really hope they are anyway) and some waterproofing for Barb's boots. We're ready to head out tomorrow for ...
