We were so focused on getting to the airport on time that we forgot about food, the kids found the flight hard as the only snack we had on hand were Cheetos and chocolate!! Our flight was delayed so we were a bit later than hoped by the time we landed, after collecting our rental van (this one had a DVD player) we were a bit late for the family dinner. ... time to go to Amsterdam - the forecast is showing 59 degrees and rain :- / ehhh. I keep checking the forecast hoping that it will change but unfortunately it just gets worse. It went from a 40% chance of rain as of yesterday to an 80% chance of rain as of five minutes ago. I guess it's just preparation for the rainy season I am heading into in Uganda! ... brats as well as the fixins. Now that things are quieting down, we are getting ready to ride south to see my dad. We'll be posting from Albert Lea tomorrow which is only about a two hour ride from here. We plan to take back roads to enjoy the beautiful scenery in the area. Today we rode 465 miles and I believe we are nearing the 1/2 way point in the trip at 3805 total miles. We also realized that we have ridden through our two biggest states, California (south to north) and Montana (west to east). We will be clicking them off much faster as we move east from here.
