    Diane here. I'm putting the final touches on our final email to the team. I'll be reminding them to pack their passports, pack their Live Generously t-shirts, bug spray, suntan lotion and water bottles to name a few things.

    Monday 20 to Sunday 26 July

    Expecting something in the region of 10,000+ aircraft, in no time at all, the homebuilt camping area filled up.

    There was no need for an alarm clock – each morning we were awoken by aircraft engines just before 6am! Not much point in trying to go back to sleep so we made use of the excellent trailer shower facilities (new for this year) with oodles of hot water.   • Both ferries require that Rosie stay in a Kennel on the car deck or in our car WITH THE WINDOWS CLOSED.

  • Thinking of other options. We really don't want to drive south (past Chicago) as it's boring, but the trip north (across the Mackinac bridge (back-tracking our arrival) is quite a bit longer but much more pleasant of a drive.

    ... and while there were shuttle buses running continuously, these were very full at the start and end of the daily events, so we walked that a couple of times.

    The weather was nearly perfect - mostly clear skies and temperatures in the mid-20s during the day.

    ... Spent some time at the Vendor Boots to see what was new ' updated my Databases for an Oshkosh special Price and purchased some other small Items. Removed the extra RH Seat Tank Greg had offered me to bring to Florida at a later date.... Thank you Greg We all enjoyed the traditional Oshkosh Barbecue For which the Down's are famous for..... Weather co-operated nicely...... Getting in and out to the show is a Challenge with 700000 ...
