We departed Lake Minnetonka around 10:30a, picked up the hounds and headed north / east. It was nice to drive through a traffic-free Minneapolis and even spotted a few of the University of Minnesota buildings where Mike went to college. ... was nice but no trees for shade and it was very sunny. We went over to a small nearby town called Wehkon. We hung around there for awhile then came back and went to the grocery store before coming back to camp. We picked up a pizza which I cooked in the oven and we ate outside. Hit the spot! ... br> Sheila and I also took a walk along the St. Croix river. During our visit to Hinckley, we have seen a ton of deer (mostly along the road - scary) and a couple of bald eagles. While we were at the river, we seen some tracks that looked a lot like bear - or perhaps a big dog!!
Tomorrow is moving day and we head up north towards Canada.

Work up today to snow!! Sheila got a picture of me with snow on the jacket. We should have headed south, but despite the cold, the Northwood are very amazing beautiful. Sheila and I explored the North Shore of Minnesota from Duluth to Schroeder - about 100 miles. Our first stop was Duluth - at the Duluth Trading Company. Very expensive place.
Next stop was the lighthouse at Two Harbors. The lighthouse is still operating. We couldn't get in the building but we walked ...
My last day on the farm! It started with the chicken chores, then I helped harvest for the vegetable box delivery to Cambridge and then also started taking out the bok choy and the womboks. Well, all the ones that had bolted anyway! Ran into a couple of snakes as well... Blah they just startle you cause they're always hiding in the rows of vegetables and then you put your hand down to grab one out of the ground and RAH! ...
