    ... rocks that I picked up as a souvenir. After checking out the beach, we went toward the Boardwalk. We went through the bog and I was hoping to find some interesting critters. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to get up close and personal with all of the trees and everything because there were signs posted everywhere instructing you to stay on the boardwalk - off nature's carpet.     ... was called Tom's Burned Down Cafe and had lights hung everywhere and sayings written all over the walls. The people all looked like hippies. A guy came over (clearly overly intoxicated) and told us to wait when he leaves. Everyone waits to go anywhere at least 5 minutes after he leaves because he drives in zig zags. Then a guy named Alex came over and was chatting with us. He is living on the island for the summer, working at the bar. He used to work on robots but he got laid ...

    ... Sphinx-Observatory, where scientists do research at high altitudes. We decided we wanted to get into the Observatory and get a tour. Only problem was how.
