Today was our last day in Montana, and though we will miss the scenery and the very nice people, we will not miss the "Loose Gravel" road construction. Fortunately it was very short, but it was like Montana was taking it's last …

Entering from the East via the Togwotee Pass the view of the Tetons is stunning. Arising up from the prairie floorColdest 2 mornings of the trip. Hit 29degrees in Jackson! They also use Sea Foam instead of Decalin for scavenging the lead out of ...

... Twin Falls we went to the Shoshone Falls. Really nice park and very pretty. Lots of water over the 90 foot falls. We saw a nice walking trail and off we were again. We didn't know the trail climbed all the way to the top of the canyon... but it was a great view and good exercise. Finished the day back at the camp ground with a few Advil, and ice.

Tuesday we were off to Sun River ID. Not to many miles today... only ...

Was up in time to get some fabulous photos of the sunrise against the Sawtooth Mountains. There was frost on the picnic table, a mist on the water and a full moon still in the sky. Gorgeous! Then I braced myself for Galena Pass at 8701'. Approach seemed very casual but ...
