Eventually we had to walk on the highway hard shoulder again until we got to our place....at least now we know for sure that both directions have no footpath for us to access the town...we really wanted to avoid having to drive but not sure walking on the hard shoulder when its snowy and dark is going to be the best idea either!

I had Chicken confit with apple butter and Darren had Elk Meatloaf, then we had a Palisade peach pavlova and Profiteroles to share. It was so delicious....they also gave us homemade sourdough bread with a butter that had been mixed with paprika and other herbs!! What a treat!
