    Leaking Engine History and Evaluation

    ... of the engines showed oil drips was immediately after a hard run with a quick shut down. As I discovered with the replacement engine, changing to 15w-40 oil eliminated all drips. I have to assume changing to 15w-40 would have stopped the leak in the experimental engine also. Was changing the engine the right thing to do? Absolutely...if I had not, I would have been a "nervous nelly" the entire trip and that would have taken away from the whole ...

    ... can't be good. Probably a brain tumor, I think. All day I keep hoping it will go away, but it doesn't. I imagine going to the doctor and her wanting to rush me into surgery. "Hold on," I'd say, "can't this wait until after I get back from Isle Royale?"

    Monday morning I call the doctor and get a same-day appointment. They send in a young physician's assistant who asks a couple of questions and tells me I need to see an ophthalmologist. Today. But she won't tell me why. She ...

    Isle Royale changed me. I lost five pounds (hopefully not all muscle). I also lost some of my self-consciousness and fear of people. The five pounds returned. I hope the anxiety doesn’t.

    Will I go back? Maybe. At the very least, planning on it gives me a reason to go to the gym. There’s nothing like a goal to give you direction in life. Anyway, I need something to write about.
