It's a beautiful day today. We decided to go see all of the stuff at the Dam site.
Garrison Dam, the power plant, fish hatchery and the spillway. We roamed the valleys and hillsides and even walked a sandy beach (I really hate the texture of sand!)

Once again we ended up pulling into a campground with no one in it. Amazing! The park itself looks like Mile Square Park (for those of you from the Orange County area). There are large open areas of natural vegetation and each camp site has a large area that his kept manicured. Lots of deer, Red Winged Black Birds, ducks and some turkey vultures.

... could get ready for company on Christmas Day. The kids all drove up together and Mom & Dad came from Rugby that afternoon. We had turkey dinner about 4:00, opened gifts, played dominoes and started a puzzle. The grandkids spent a lot of time playing pool and ping pong over the next few days.

After 2 1/2 days of driving we arrived in Bismarck on Saturday. We stayed in the camper at Missy & Steve's that night. That night was New Year's Eve so we went to church for the worship service and the game night after that. Wayne played pinochle all night. I played bonco and then pinochle. It was fun and again we got to see several of our church friends. We did manage to stay until past midnight so brought in the New Year. Of course, there was lots of good food which we enjoyed all evening.
