"Muck Fichigan" is one of my first memories of Columbus, Ohio and arriving at Ohio State. The whole campus is littered with shirts, posters, signs, etc that all say Muck Fichigan. As a die hard sports fan, I quickly embraced this slogan of my newly adopted 2nd favorite college sports team, the Buckeyes. Back in the gold ol' U of F, we hate a lot of schools. The traditional 3 are Tennessee, Florida State, and Georgia. But up in Big 10 ...
Saginaw, Michigan, United States tourdev... bread and utensil charge others just simply call it cubierto which means charge. This can range from 3 pesos to 35. This happens throughout Argentina but it was pretty much everywhere in Calafate.
I'd like to mention the weather. Obviously my trip was the first two weeks of August. We got so much **** about us going in their winter but it wasn't even bad at all. I'm from Michigan so winter to me is below freezing 10 layers of cloths and snow ...
... It also
is known for the football stadium size Christmas merchandise of a
magnitude you will not see anywhere else in the U.S. We did not stop
as Day said it was the wrong time of the year....a good thing with us
having the truck on this trip. She might have filled up the remaining
cracks in the back (probably not).
We tried to find a mom & pop cafe but it was not to be found so
after much discussion we just went to Culver's for a Butter Burger and

Bay city baby! We made it. The first 30 miles it was overcast which
was nice cuz I got a lil burnt yesterday. Then after Midland we hit
the farmland and it started raining. The rain wasn't too bad but the
wind was pretty strong. I threw on some rainy day music to help the
time pass. A lil Ray Lamontagne and then some Regina Spektor. It was
nice riding in the rain.
Now we are getting free food at some weekly bay front festival thing.
Yay free food!
... New Ulm, a little Midwest town who thinks it is in Germany. And we got there just in time for the Bavarian festival parade! That was definitely entertaining. There were 3 types of participants in the parade: princesses, bands, and random dance party floats. Drunken dance party floats. After watching the parade for a while, we decided to eat. That ...
Frankenmuth, Michigan, United States cheer4lvw... on what I am doing and where I am going (I'll do the best I can), so feel free to check in here now and then to keep up to date on my adventures. Currently, I am in MI, which is not too exciting, but the fact I am leaving so soon has just started to sink in. I have only one week left here, then I return home for a little over a week, and then I depart from the country. It is ...
Saginaw, Michigan, United States traveledJuly 15, 2008 Michigan, USA After 20 months of travel we have finally come home. We are exhausted but had a wonderful time. Thanks for following along. We hope to complete this blog later with some financial summary so you can see how much a trip like this actually costs. If you are interested in that sort of thing check back in a few months. In the meantime we're going to take a long nap.
Northern Michigan, Michigan, United States yoni... will see... the brief reading I've done has been exactly that--brief. This time, this trip, I really just want to sit back and fall into the country (or as the song in the title would sugges, fly into the experience of Ireland). Not even a question of want; rather, neccessity. Yes, there really is something about this trip that feels neccessary. I can almost taste the milky Guinness, and see the sprawling green hills. [note to ...
Midland, Michigan, United States amipatel... are two other apartments upstairs). The location was good (Seville is not that big of a city). The apartment was very spacious. A queen-sized bed, beautifully remodeled bathroom and a large kitchen with a clothes washer. The owner is very kind and full of information about Seville. We highly recommend this apartment! Address: Calle Tintes, 8 Transportation: We took cabs from the bus station to the apartment and then back to the train station. The price was reasonable and worth ...
Plymouth, Michigan, United States theskinners... laughed it off, and drove up the next dune. Monday - Took the day off to run some errands, but went to the movies at night and saw Signs. Although it is rated PG-13, the movie was scary. We left the movie theater after midnight and headed back to the campsite under a clear and starry night. We noticed that directly behind our RV was a corn field, and if you saw the movie then you would understand our fears. Tuesday - Took a tour of restored airplanes at the Kalamazoo ...
