Up at 5am...which is 4am, Calgary time and over to the airport by 5:30...Josh, Mel and Bronwyn are taking off as I write this. We can see the airport from our parking spot...there they go.... When Ron came back we spent a couple of hours choosing to keep or jettison food, packing clothes, shoes, stuff....amazed at how we managed to get the car loaded....and, of course we have the canoe and bicycle on the roof of the car ...

Tom went for his last bike ride, this time around Cass Lake (about 30 miles), while I went on my last tax-free clothes shopping trip to the little mall in Bemidji, where I found some great deals. Jared came with me and got himself some shirts for the new job he'll start at the University of Wisconsin next week. We picked up pizza at Dave's ...
... The two of us only caught 4 perch by the time all was said and done, but we always enjoy those "just the two of us" moments.
In the afternoon, Tom & Jared went for bike rides. Jared rode around Pike Bay and Cass Lake, and Tom met him part way home. The girls and I went over to Mom's cabin and played some Shanghai. We then had Mom & Dad over for dinner, before finishing our card game and then going for a late ice cream cone at our lodge. ...
... I hit the lake again for another shot at fishing. The wind was calm and the sunset beautiful from Strawberry Bar. We didn't have a lot of excitement, but were content with the 4 nice perch we ended up with.
