... made a "hole in the wall." After Oak was Raspberry Island. We docked the boat and got to go on this island. We took a pee break and waited for the ranger to finish up a tour of the light house so we could get our tour. The parks here pretty much go by the honor system. The tour was $3 per person and you put your cash into a drop box, just like with the fire wood. The ranger gave us the low-down. The lighthouse was built because ships kept wrecking. They needed ...

... was pretty cold. I hurried up and cleaned myself because there was not enough water to waste on a nice long shower. Then I went back to the camp site and told Mirza to get up so we could go exploring.

The first stop was a coffee shop called Mission Hill at La Pointe (the main area on the island). We ordered breakfast sandwiches and coffee. They had a gift shop and I found the COOLEST mug! It was handmade here in Wisconsin. We sat and enjoyed our breakfast and took ...

A guy came over (clearly overly intoxicated) and told us to wait when he leaves. Everyone waits to go anywhere at least 5 minutes after he leaves because he drives in zig zags. Then a guy named Alex came over and was chatting with us. He is living on the island for the summer, working at the bar. He used to work on robots but he got laid ...

... feet tall. We ate our lunch and rested in the park for a short while and decided to head back. We decided to take a different route back to the terminal were glad we did. We got to see a lot more of the island… well worth the extra mile back. The round trip was about 15.5 miles… I say about because I forgot to restart MapMyRide and Suzy’s bike computer was on the fritz. We found a nice little ice ...

... I've photographed my 4-lb can of peanut butter and new food box. I was fortunate to be directed toward a co-op (Lakewinds) with a great selection of dry bulk goods for the sampling. Thanks, Norm. I'll try to include some thoughts on meal prep on the road once I put some meals together. You people seem to like food talk. My kind of people.
