          ... the Herbert Hoover Library, we are headed for Missouri Valley, IA. Weather has been wonderful, and we are hoping that the weather won't turn ugly as we head West.

          Looking for good barbecue as we travel, but haven't found much yet. Basically, there are Cracker Barrel restaurants on the highway along the way. We are seeing lots of retired folks with their RV's ---- hey wait - that's what we are!!! Anyway, passing through pretty country. More later. ...

          ... cuz it is bumpy. I'm talking every expansion joint raised 4 inches bumpy, and broken poorly patched comcrete bumpy. Dang .. It is the quickest way to get to where I wanted to go tho. Gazooks, they shaved the concrete, made it smoothas glass, Music played, sun shined, blue birds flew by with ribbons and everyone sang pretty songs...Ya get my drift. Charlie liked this road....

Fortunately Doug had talked Jacki into driving up and meeting us, so that we another night of comfort awaiting!           We had a bit of a rough day. First our blind and shade on the driver's side came disconnected so we couldn't use it. Bob jimmied it up with a piece of string to hold it from flopping around and coming down on my head. Then we discovered that our hydraulic jacks were low on fluid THEN we noticed a BIG crack about 13 inches long at the bottom center of our windshield. Oh dear!!

          Spent the afternoon and evening in Davenport, Iowa at the Isle of Capri Riverboat Casino, where Pop and Wayne visited eight years ago. Wayne enjoyed showing me the Riverboat and Casino and reminiscing about the trip with Pop. We even hit two little jackpots... Big Winners West of the Mississippi! Lol he even pointed out certain machines ...
