... room and a kichenette. After check-in we went to the mall and had a great time.
The next morning we went to IKEA by the mall and then to the local casinos. No luck on winning but it was fun. After the casinos we started to head back to Milwaukee.
Today we woke up late again, but headed out to Minnesota after eating lunch. It was a late start at about noon. The 7 hour drive was frightening as there was snow falling down when we drove through Iowa. At several stretches, we drove only 20 mph because of all the snow. The interesting part was that it came in spots even though we were constantly driving north. The drive took longer because it was all stop and go ...

I'm frantically trying to work through my 3 page list of things to do before I go. Setting up a travel blog was one of the things on my list. Hopefully this will work as a great way to share stories and photos will all our friends and family back home. This seems pretty easy so far. My next task is a little more complicated...buying another swim suit. Why did I wait until 48 hours before departure to tackle this monumental task?
Off to MOA!

I went over to a table that was adorned with lots of French flair and decorations, and a hostess offered me a glass of champagne. It was so good! Bloomington, Minnesota, United States summerflowers73Shortly after I wrote the last entry we had to leave for the airport. My sister was going to drop Mom, Clarence and I off at the airport. Connie's family was dropping her off separately. It was snowing and the roads were pretty slick. I was getting concerned, but the airline website still had the flight listed as "on schedule", and we did leave with plenty of extra time. Which is a good thing, because ...

We then headed to the Metropolitin Institue of Art where Elliot and I looked for frogs to draw but found a monkey instead. While leaving the museum Elliot changed into a monster for the first (but not last) time, but was quickly happy again when asked what her favorite art piece was. From the art muesem we headed to up town for a snack and to shop a bit in some ...
