    ... flying down the river on a boat powered by 3 6.0 engines we soon forgot hotlw hot it was. Our driver was funny, a little cheesy, but funny none the less. We saw a couple osprey, a deer, and a gorgeous bald eagle (Justin was pretty stoked about that). As we cruised along Harlan was becoming more and more fussy...     ... both creative and teeming with quality quaffs. So, after a great couple of weeks, I was given the perfect send-off - the Portland Brewery Crawl. Breakfast at the pub at 10am, and then a barrage of breweries to satisfy every pallet for the rest of the day. I'm pretty happy to call Portland my new home.
    Now el Burro and I are off to Northern California....and here comes the rain

    ... the Nordstrom outlet store, where we find shoes which are normally $100 reduced to prices like $30 or less. It is very tempting to spend up big, but we resist, and limit ourselves where we can.

    We head back out again, and arrange to meet up for dinner. The kids enjoy playing with each other, and talking about the new toys they got. I even bought a Lego set for myself, one I know won’t be released in Australia ...

    Henry Hagg Lake is just past Forest Grove, OR. There are no camping allowed there, so plan to get there early, so you can have the most fun. There is so much to do at Hagg Lake.
