Today we woke up late again, but headed out to Minnesota after eating lunch. It was a late start at about noon. The 7 hour drive was frightening as there was snow falling down when we drove through Iowa. At several stretches, we drove only 20 mph because of all the snow. The interesting part was that it came in spots even though we were constantly driving north. The drive took longer because it was all stop and go ...

I'm frantically trying to work through my 3 page list of things to do before I go. Setting up a travel blog was one of the things on my list. Hopefully this will work as a great way to share stories and photos will all our friends and family back home. This seems pretty easy so far. My next task is a little more complicated...buying another swim suit. Why did I wait until 48 hours before departure to tackle this monumental task?

Leaving on my trip to Las Vegas tomorrow. I found some cheap motels through this website, extended stay motels that were very affordable. I didn't read the reviews though, so I hope they are not too sleazy. But ...

As some of you may have heard, the trip came to a quick end today. I woke up to the news. The elders in the group feared the horizon so we kept heading east. It was a long quiet ride. I think we were all bummed that it was over but it was a good trip. We were able to have some fun and see some very interesting things.
