We were pretty pleased to be leaving Provincetown for a bigger city with hopefully some life. On the way down the coast we passed some mental halloween displays outside houses and took a detour to the Cape Cod crisp factory! Loads of free samples so I was happy. ... We parked in a super rich area of town where I am sure our van got snooty looks and walked down to the campus. It was not the nicest day outside once again but the campus was very pretty. There was a really fancy courtyard that led to all the frat and sorority buildings and it felt a little surreal like we were in a movie. Upon our return we enjoyed a "nautical" lunch in a great local pub before wandering through the picturesque shops, streets and docks of Newport, which have a real holiday feel about them!

After speaking with Corrigan's brother last night I found out that one of the oldest libraries in America, established in 1747, is located in Newport and English-Extraordinaire-Student-To-Be that I am, I felt obliged to pay it a visit.
