You quickly remember why travel is an experience in chaos and long, long airline sky and terminal time.
Our plane was about an hour late leaving Madrid. Good thing, pilot picked up speed and arrived in Charlotte, South Carolina at our appointed time. I'm sitting in the Charlotte airport on my 8 hour layover, drinking a cold beer and reflecting on the last 10 years. This trip is far and beyond anything I've ever done before, and it is really exciting. Especially since I still don't have half of it planned yet!

The Universidad of Iberoamericana invited us for a reception with quesadilla, mini sandwiches, cheese sticks and drinks, beers, sodas, and bottled water. Mary from the Universidad gave us a presentation about the history of Mexico starting in 1521. It was so interesting to learn about Mexico history.
