Finally I was going from Los Angeles to Victorville, where I was approaching to the most important sight, the Route 66. A night in the Navajo Desert just next to the R66 and afterwards, not only a unknown highway but also my idea of crossing the desert was ending up in deep sand. Going back I used the ordinary highway up to Las Vegas, the city of lights.
