What a day! This morning we left the motel after three very comfortable nights to set off for Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge Tennessee. We crossed the border into Tennessee from North Carolina after 45 minutes. We found Gatlinburg very busy as they were preparing for a midnight grand 4th July parade. ... wooden ‘legs’ that support the structure. Since the ground at the back of the church was lower, the rocks they chose were taller, so that the building would be level. We wondered how on earth the building was still standing after more than 180 years.
