We drove about 400 miles today. A little further than we had wanted, but we relaxed when we arrived. We are in a very nice RV park, Arkadelphia RV Park. We have driven through much farmland. Soybeans, corn and now some cotton fields. Farmers are praying for dry weather and wind to dry out their fields. The further south we came, the fields are drying enough and the farmers are busy with their ...
... and lake. The MacDonalds prepared a great pulled port dinner for us and shortly after dinner a quick moving rain storm chased us inside to their roomy travel trailer where we played the game "Clue". It is a charity we have contributed to over the years most recently this past Christmas when we purchased animals in Andrew, Lily, & Michael's names. They have a great learning center for children and a wonderful cafe. After lunch, we are on our way to Austin. Hope to make it before Ailish's bedtime ...
... one, couldn't see anything. Walked the promenade above and behind the row of bathhouses, that was kinda nice with the hot water (124 degree) bubbling up in certain spots on the grounds. Stayed in the national park that night......very disappointed. self registration, cash machine only. facilities below average. Hot Springs has seen better days for sure.
