    ... and switch drivers...obviously I let him sleep the rest of the way. We arrived about 10.20am but didn't realise that once we entered the park, it was about an hour drive up to the main attractions! It was another windy mountain road but we go there eventually.

    First stop was General Sherman...the largest tree on the earth!! It was a 0.5 mile walk down to see it and it was crazy!! Just being stood ...

    ... these extra wide places in the road so you and I could take in the beauty of the spot? On this road the saying rings ever so true..... It's not about the destination but about the journey.
    Just a word of wisdom...the next time you see something truly beautiful along the way, don't keep driving or walking. Stop and pull off the road or turn around and go back. Soak it in if you don't have a camera or take some pictures if you do but ...

    ... after another 30mins of walking we realised we were running out of time if we wanted to see the giant Sequoia trees before it got dark so we turned around.     ... place to put it right in the middle of the car park, not much damage to the car thank goodness. We headed off up to the sequoia park, up and up til we really could nearly touch the sky, magnificent. We were 7335 feet up. We got into a shuttle bus up to one lot of the trees, they are just the most majestic things I have ever seen. We tried to take photos, but they just didn't do the trees justice. ...
