After a couple days of hoping and recuperating in Laura’s extremely comfortable bed, I gave up and we headed to the nearest ER which was less than a mile away and a complete opposite of the ER at Tulane in New Orleans.     ... over here to El Cajon on this past Monday, October 28th. What a drive!!! We left Yuma in the sun and warm and as we neared the mountains to the west of Plaster City you could see rain and a change in the weather. Often windy down there at sea level there is a big wind farm and we did hit a head wind much of the trip west from there.     ... Do not mix well. Aaron and I then toddled off to Belmont Park at Mission Beach, it's an old school style arcade board walk. There wasn't must happening there and I think it would be better at night. Grumble bum didn't want to be there so we left early. It was a really long nice looking beach- there is a cement path all the way along, heaps of fit bodies running up and down. We are back in the room now having a rest - still have not had a good sleep ...

    Now to figure out what to pack in one suitcase! The weather should be super cold! (H:30F and
    L: 15F) Wet weather ahead! But hopefully this will mean less tourists in the 'off season' and more of a chance to explore and get a REAL sense of what these places are like (without putting on a 'show' for tourists)!
