The overnight flight from Honolulu to San Diego was flawless. Four and a half hours to San Francisco with just enough of a layover to get breakfast, then one and a half hours to SD. The shuttle to the parking lot delivered us to Blue, our motor home, in no time at all. Pulled off the covers, started her up and we were off on our next adventure, three months up the west coast to Alaska!!!
First up, a nap! Kind of an anti-climatic way ...
So we are off. Or at least we are in the car at a drive-thru Starbucks (Lindsay's choice oh yeah) waiting for the mojo to get us to LA. The Husband is driving - what a sweetie. We fly out at the witching hour of midnight and arrive in Atlanta at dawn. Sleeping on the plane will be good because we are not too fond of flying; landing is good ...
Wow, can you believe that in 7 days, I will on yet another plane but this time, heading home. Those 12 months have flown by, but I'm not sad. I'm looking forward to coming home and seeing everyone!
There isn't really much to write about today as I was leaving the beautiful city of San Francisco and heading back down to, just as beautiful, San Diego to go back and stay with my cousin Sophie.

In case you didn't know, luggage is sent to your final destination when travelling internationally. But when coming back, you have to go through customs and re-check it in if flying domestically.
That meant I not only was on a short time table, but I had to pick up my trunk and Maya and recheck them in.
