... way to San Antonio, and we'll spend the weekend with our friends, Len and Fran. Then, Monday we're driving towards Phoenix with an overnight stop in Las Cruces, New Mexico. We'll be in Phoenix on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 10. We'll have a day to do our laundry and repack in Phoenix before we leave Thursday morning with Marnie and Steve for Las Vegas to celebrate Steve's big 50th birthday party. Viva Las Vegas and Happy Birthday, Esteban!

... have liked to see them without the aid of my zoom lens. After looking through the various rooms of exhibits at the aquarium, we caught the complimentary shuttle boat over to their second location. We had a great cruise over to the buildings where they have movie sets, props, etc on display from the two movies. It was neat to see. But it is another 'one and done' for us. ... higher until we did loop the loops. And we all calmed down with a gentle turn on the carousel which was lovely, except Neil's camel didn't go up and down. In the last hour, we found two of the best rides of the whole trip - a dangle-down roller coaster that did loops without the discomfort of rattly-brain syndrome, and Cheetah Hunt that was wonderfully smooth and fast. ... our first time since Yuma. The courts here are sprinkled with glass beads, not the wax beads we used in Yuma, so the courts are quite a bit slower and took a few 'shuffles' to get used to.

... is white sand and beautiful. It's a really commercial and tourist filled city so we were ready to get back in the car and keep driving. We stuck to the coastal highway and went as far as Madiera Beach. The little towns along the way are much quieter and the beach views were nice to see.
