In Texas. It took us 6 - 7 hours to get here and we filled our tank on the way for $20! Under $2 a gallon. Jonathan fm drove straight here via Arby's drive through, a McDonald's coffee pit stop and then. Walmart stop for groceries. Well, I-10 and I-12 are in no better shape than last trips. It's like riding a roller coaster for 2 hours. Luckily I-49 was much better. We took I-49 North to line up with Hwy 380 in Texas. This is a small 2 lane highway to nowhere. Roswell, The Very Large Array, Valley of the Fires and the Painted Desert are accessible from this road.

We could hear very heavy thunder north of us and see lots of lightning flashes, but we only got some hard rain for a short period of time at bedtime.
