... you look you can buy any pirate gear you could imagine. It is the place where Black Beard's ship was sank, we just missed a huge pirate festival on the island. To bad, that would have been pretty awesome....

As soon as we got off the boat we headed farther south down the coast. We ended up in Wilmington NC, which we plan on checking out more tomorrow.

We went to the Sea Turtle Sanctuary. It was great! We saw the biggest turtles ever:) The only unhappy moment was waiting an hour to get in while standing out in the blaring sun. It was cramped, but seeing the turtles was worth it!

The kids got some stuffed animals and we were on our way.

We werent able to take pictures because they wouldnt let photography in the area with the turtles so that was a bummer.

Leigh and I went down to Wilmington for the next two days loking for a place to live for the next year. We looked all day around Kings Grant on Monday. After a long day of looking we retired around 5Pm and went to Daves place on Wrightsville Beach. Dave and I went for a surf on this crazy performance fishtail Purple Board. The water felt great, and I would guss its about 66 degrees. Dave came down to Carolina ...

Day 1: We started the day looking at old 70s style houses in Kings Grant. Saw quite a few roaches :) We found one house that seemed to be promising but the landlord would not go down on her price. After our somewhat successful days work was complete we played on Wrightsville with Dave for a couple hours. Later that night we ate at a wonderful ...

... took a trolley horse ride into the historic neighborhood and saw lots of old houses and mansions and their history. Finally, we ate at a yummy Thai restaurant :) Tomorrow we're planning on visiting a WWII memorial, the North Carolina Battleship. Then we'll go a bit further south to Kure Beach to visit an apparently very nice aquarium, and later in the day make our way back to Durham. Promises to be fun!
