I was lamenting the fact that I would not be at Stonehenge for the Solstice this year as we had planned. As I spoke I was thinking about next summer; the trip to Indonesia, perhaps the trip to Europe we didn't make this year, but then maybe we should do something different in Europe.
As we talked my husband brought up the fact that he’d still like to go to Poland to visit the area his maternal grandfather came from. And of course I’d love to visit the area ...

On Tues the plan is to go to the zoo. We will want to start for home before it is too late but we will stay for the Lion House feeding. If you haven’t experienced it before it is really an amazing experience. At least I hope it is still going. I’ll blog about it if it is still going.

My jeans were soaked through, as were my walking shoes and socks, so walking through more snow wasn’t an issue anymore, even if my socks were cutting me with every step as the trench foot became frost bite. I fell to the side whilst coming down the final stretch, but managed to put my hand out just in time to stop myself, only to put my hands out again a little later on, just to find them disappear into the metres of snow below.
