Supernatural Aid!!

We left from La Verne at around 10am this morning. We had originally planned to leave at 6am, but sleepy-heads and showers took up four hours to finally begin rolling. We arrived at Bakersfield at around2pm.

Our Second Try for Yosemite

... abundant here than in Sequoia. In our travels we encountered deer, California ground squirrels, Uinta chipmunks, more Acorn Woodpeckers, Steller Blue Jays and best of all a young black bear. We watched the bear for almost an hour as he first climbed around in a tree and then roamed the ground around the tree eating acorns.

Leaving the park we had to start making our way back south hoping to get to Death Valley tomorrow.

On Tuesday we have fresh hummus, celery, rice crackers, sourdough bread, cheese and salami. The remaining days we will have salami, cheese, crackers and bread, hummus made from freeze dried, and a chicken salad one day.

For dinners:

Tuesday: we will carry in chicken thighs frozen until we leave. We will make Chicken Curry over rice with fresh carrots with a few pinion nuts added.

... in Hawaii, same crazy turns and shear drop-offs and beautiful scenery. There were a few areas where I actually started to feel a little car sick and that never happens to me! We finally cruise into historic Oatman and are amazed to see such a quaint and busy little tourist town. Very cute, but we cannot afford the time to stop.
