While listening to my most favorite song at the moment (Turtle, by Alana Davis), I've realized my trip has BEGUN!!!! It wasn't real until now. I'm sitting at my seat on my way to JFK airport, waiting for my dinner, and I don't really have much to say except that my excitement is finally here. No worrying, no doubting, just excitement. That's all for now. Sorry if you found this post boring, but sometimes you just gotta gloat. Love you ...

Delta told us we were on our own to pay for a hotel, and no compensation - meal vouchers, reduced fare for next trip, nothing! We now needed our luggage, so we had to go to luggage claim office, give them our information, and then wait an hour minimum for it to arrive. It came within 45 minutes. On the way, I made a request for something so American that I had been missing while out of the country: Wendy's. You can never go wrong with a sweet tea, cheeseburger, and salty fries. Oh yummy! Arriving home wasn't weird for me, and I didn't think it would be either. I never had a reverse culture shock. I ...

I am leaving the Center. The day is
cold as any winter day, but the Sun shines. On a small plate we,
visitors are informed that dogs are not allowed inside the Center's
perimeter. And I remember reading somewhere that the police used dogs
to fight the participants in the civil rights rallies during the '50.
Well, those dogs are dead by now...and any animal right activist

... trails, spotted with 18 back breaking obstacles. I was lucky to have a SWAT trained athletic beast helping me pull through every obstacle and sticking with me along the trails. Although I inevitably decimated what his time would have been, Caleb helped me achieve the #26 rank for my age group. I was quite happy with the ranking, given I have averaged 1 gym session a week this year. The fact that typing this story is still hurting my biceps suggests I may need to step ...
