    It was not quite daylight when we departed and there was some fog due to warming temperatures (a balmy 50 degrees) as well as some drizzle. While we had hoped for clear weather, we gladly settled for warmer temperatures.The first lock down went smoothly with no waiting.     We finally left at 1:30 pm today. - five hours behind schedule -- so much packing! Marcia and Francisco both helped us pack and get ready. We had to give Quince a bath and pack clothes and food and supplies for six weeks of travel! And of course, take time for Travis to ride Drifter and take a tour on the Kubota.     ... over to visit from another boat who had left their boat for awhile and returned to continue on south. They are on a 42' Grand Banks trawler and were going to leave about 10 am the next morning with the same destination as us, Pirates Cove marina. Looks like we are going to have new buddy boaters again.

    The next chapter will be from here at Columbus marina to Pirates cove.
