Americas Best Value Inn And Suites Little Rock

... last ride thru because my motel is 5 mi south of I-40. The motel seems to have little on the city itself so I will peruse my guide book and see what else is noteworthy besides the Clinton Library. I got all excited that there was a barbecue place beside the motel, until I realized it was abandoned.

... but I just didn't feel like doing that. Whenever I stayed in one place for more than a few days I got restless: I think I need friends and/or some more stability, like having my own place and being able to unpack and have my own room, to stay in one place for any longer amount of time, which I just wouldn't have while traveling.

So I'm back, and I hope this experience has changed me for the better. I plan on trying ...

... we hit a very bad storm - heavy rain, lots of wind. The
roads couldn't handle it and there was deep standing water on many of
the roads. We pulled off a while and waited it out. Once it calmed
down, we continued driving on US-78 toward Tupelo, Mississippi. We got
lunch at Arby's and let the kids stretch their legs (David Andrew was

Drove to the capitol of Little Rock and saw the statues about civil rights.
Drove home to our hotel .Big help the car's GPS.
Had dinner at Waffle;s House near the hotel.It is a chain restaurants all over the south.Had waffles and pecan pie.

Park in Peabody Hotel garage,Pay a parking machine with credit card.
Wait for the march of the ducks from the penthouse to the fountain.Peabody Hotel is famous for this.There is a red carpet and a duck master.Many tourists are waiting, like waiting for a celebrity.

... small museum but very good for the money. A trip to a Starbucks on the way to downtown was followed by a trip to the Clinton shop and a wander along the waterfront. In the evening we returned to downtown and had an EXCELLENT meal in Bokos - it is in our top 5 best meals of the trip. Back in the hotel we watched the EXCELLENT "Hot Fuzz" - probably even more funny now we've been in the States for 5 months as it depicts English village life so well.
