Today, we moved to a nice campground about a mile outside McMahan, TX. We picked the location since it was near Lockhart - what many consider the center of Texas BBQ country.

After we got set up, we decided to take the park manager's recommendation, and have lunch at the Whizzerville Hall Pizza in McMahan. It is in a neat old building that serves a great thick crust pizza as well ...

We bought our pop-up with traveling to Mountain Bike Races in mind. I grew up camping with my parents (first in a Starcraft popup, then in a Shasta TT), so I'm not a newbie to camping, but am new to camping as an adult!
