... we headed down the coast stopping in Monterrey for a maple donut and down to the Madonna Inn. There we enjoyed Santa Cruz a little bit, before heading to a fantastic dinner at the Madonna in. We than headed into Solvang for wine tasting and great meal before arriving back in Los Angeles in time to meet up with my (Scott's) family for the annual Newport Beach vacation!

If you've ever seen the recent popular american tv show ''The OC'', this place looks exactly like the beach side in many of the scenes. Many popular surf shops nearby like Billabong and Hurley, a long peir streching out over the water with restaurants and stores on the end, expensive parkinglots close to the shore, tonnes of people tanning surfing and playing in the sand, and large sidewalks on the beach to walk, skateboard, jog, bike and inline skate on.

... in along with lots of homeless people but there are still loads of tourists looking for their favorite actors on the pavement. Before we knew it it was time to head on to the airport for our final flight home. We just had time before we caught the airport bus to have lunch in the Mexican quarter near the station. It was hard eating fantastic Mexican food feeling the heat of the sun and not being tempted to skip our flight and hot foot it over to Mexico so as to carry on the dream.
