... and we are off. Have to say I do like the early morning drives, not so much heat and less traffic, so we can make good time and enjoy the cool wind with the tops down.
This will be a short entry on the trip... why? Well honestly there is not much to tell you a out the drive. Not that it is boring as it is not, there is some great country .... it's just we didn't stop much other than for brunch and gas for the cars.

Americans have a reputation for being lazy. Lazy in the sense that we do not go out of our way to learn different languages. I'm guilty of this. Three years of high school Spanish were really wasted on me, I'm ashamed to say. Living 20 minutes from Mexico and having lots of opportunity to practice the language did me no good. When I traveled south of the border I would ask a question in English and could always find someone to translate. Pure laziness. ...

Day 3: Disneyland & California Park. It was frantic the first day here, huge crowd. It was a bit difficult to get to anything. We started at Disneyland and did a few of the 'classic' rides: the carousel, the tea cups, Tarzan's tree house.....all pretty tame! Headed to California Park and did the California Soaring ride (simulated flight the boy said)....oh my bloody god! It was like hang gliding, you hung free and soared over ...

... on many socks and these take the cake. I gave one pair a 6 month test run and one of the socks got a hole in the sole of it, so just like any other you can't expect them to last forever. While they last they keep your feet dry and warm. They are dry wicking so you don't have to worry about blisters.
