... Stampede for the rodeo. It was an excellent two hours - starting with a opening ceremony with the National Anthem. Then we seen bare back riding, calf roping, barrel racing, saddle back riding, and finishing up with bull riding. We got a lot of pictures. Also, we have a great picture of sunset in the mountains. Very pretty.

We got back to the campground about 11:00pm. It was a good day in Cody.

We dallied enough there that we decided to take Dad's desired hike along the Shoshone River Trail. As we walked, we watched the distant mountains disappear under the clouds. We turned back toward the van when ...

... Least fav was the calf catching as they
looked so pitiful when they were on the ground unable to move, fav
was the bareback riding, woah those horses are wild and buck like
anything. They're all very good at what they do and the youngest was
a little 8 year old in the under 12's division, very cute!

One of my favourite things about USA so far is their honouring of the flag and troops etc... At the rodeo the flag ...

... Our first stop in Wyoming was the Vore Buffalo Jump. This is a sink hole that the Native Americans used to trap buffalo. They are currently doing extensive excavating of the area. We stopped here in 2008 and since then the area has been commercialize complete with gift shop and money collectors. We were disappointed to see the changes.

Our next stop was Devil's Tower. We have passed the ...
