    ... HUGE park) 10 miles south of Eufaula, OK. The entry road was miles long into the park. There was an airstrip, 18 hole golfcourse, horse rentals, marina and boat rentals absoluetly no one here. Price was right. With water and electric: $21.

    Monday, drove short distance to town of Eufaula, OK. Dreary kind of place. Went to their one grocery store-very, very poor selection of foods ...

    ... and warm-hearted people today…what a nice town to spend a day in. As Cliff said, no one’s in a huge rush around here and everyone knows each other, so it makes for a very welcoming atmosphere. We were even told to keep the combination code to the gate lock at the fairgrounds in case we ever pass through there again and need a free place to stay. I really love small towns and I’m really humbled by how inviting they’ve been to us…

    ... center. Talked to a gal who knows Oklahoma. Lot of stuff here. Because our National Park Itinerary has been squashed we may take a different route home. I found a place to camp. Warmer than the 1 st place we picked, North do I-40. This one is South of I-40 and is not 'spose to get in the 40's. 52. At 4:07pm we got here . Lake Eufaula State Park.     Hello everybody back home, and everywhere else, Vassily here again.

    Today we went from Rolla (pronounced Ro'Lah) in Missouri to Muskogee (Mus-Koh-Gee) in Oklahoma. The distance was supposed to be 318 miles but it was a little bit more due to us taking a slight unexpected detour in the afternoon (wrong turning) which bumped another 12 miles on the route.

    ... traffic was so heavy on both interstate and cross roads. Decided it would be a hassle so we kept trucking.

    Made it to Muskogee in eastern Oklahoma about 25 miles north of I40 as I wanted to stay at HI Express and none on interstate. A long and tiring day. Tomorrow its through Arkansas to Jackson, TN which is 70 miles north of Shiloh. ...
