We hitched the caravan to the truck without any problems, and set off for the Black Hills of South Dakota by late morning. We were soon on the open roads of Wyoming, driving through miles and miles of seemingly endless prairies and grasslands. ... This cave is the fifth largest in the world with 144 miles mapped. Wind cave is known for the number of boxworks it has, which is made of the other minerals that fill the cracks in the limestone and is left when the limestone dissolves.

Had the KOA breakfast and chatted with the two ladies who were serving it. They’re clearly both older than I am and they and their husbands are itinerant workers for KOA for a free place to stay and a salary. They’re employed for 6 months for 2 to 4 days a week which gives them time to explore on days off. One’s been on the road for five years and the other leaves her home in California during the hot summer months to do this. ...
