... man were they delicious. We decided on a stroll after lunch and ended up at Polly's Pies where we purchased a cherry pie as Angus needed one apparently. It was very very warm out but with a very clear blue sky and not humid at all.
Back to the hotel for a rest. Angus went to for a run and braved the cool pool for a swim.
Off to dinner at a reasonable hour to Wendy's - still the best burgers so ...
... so we would be at the Redwood forest the next day. The redwoods were massive beyond words, pictures just don't do them justice. We also met Elk in the redwoods. Crossing over into Oregon we saw the beautiful scenery with crystal blue creeks. We spent the majority of Christmas Eve driving from Redwoods to Reiner, WA. ... to park the plane. It was pouring rain during this time. We finally got off the plane and we were at the baggage carousel with our luggage in hand within minutes. Our hangovers from the night before soothed, we headed to the Paddy’O at the local Irish pub (patio…get it?) for more drinks before heading to the Ghost Bar for the most amazing views over the strip over the rooftop terrace at the Palms Hotel Thanks for the top tip Linc). ... and gardens were all very well kept. Even power lines were “hidden” in Beverly Hills. They do have them but they chose to run them behind the houses in the trees rather than spoil the view out the front. I thought maybe they would have underground cables but they didn’t.
Of course we passed the house where Marilyn Munro stayed when she came to visit John F Kennedy often when he was President. We passed the shop that Julia Roberts ...
