... 75 miles on a highway. Kim and I stopped twice for coffee and at one of the places we got a fried apricot pie. Today's 76-mile ride was relatively uneventful mostly because 70 of it was on the same highway. ... 3mph!!! Not far out there was a truck lane which allowed me to get past.

The countryside is very hilly with some arable farming and lots of animal farms, pigs and Cows... Very Scottish in lots of places, so it's easy to see why lots of Scots ended up here.

We took the Natchez Trace Parkway which is a Federal historic, wooptee do trail for some reason, but it was amazing, and are now at a huge preserve with lake, no one here. Pretty cool, because you never know what you're going to find in some of these out-of-the-way places, so this was JACKPOT as opposed to our occassional GETTO.
