... his own, I was to ride Willow (a predictable, gentle horse), Sam was assigned Tiny who was a lovely chestnut colour, Jo had Splash who was a female paint horse (she'd been busting to get a chestnut coloured one) and Matt had Flax (a golden coloured, ex-quarterhorse who still had some speed and personality, not unlike the rider).
We were all pretty tired and headed off to the bunkhouse to wind down, unfortunately Matt and Jo were wound up ...

... a cool short stop.

Wanted Jane to see Fredericksburg. When I lived in San Antonio, Fredericksburg was a small town looking very much like it did in the early 1900's, but it has grown up. VERY high end shops, not so much cheap junk, very nicely done, did I mention VERY expensive? Had a nice stroll through downtown, then headed off to our hotel in Boerne. Had a great dinner at Cypress Cafe. GOLF tomorrow!

... so we put the exit for Lafayette in our mirror and drove on to Beaumont, TX as our stagecoach stop on our way to Hill Country.

... to catch our flight to Denver - but due to the freezing weather, our flight was delayed a few hours. We were lucky to get a flight into Denver at all as there were about 60 flights cancelled at that airport that day. I must say flying into Denver at night whilst snowing heavily is not for the faint hearted! Very sweaty palms!  It was a sight to see nevertheless  - nothing but white and the flashing lights of the snow plows.  Mick then had to drive us to breck !!! ...
