We left Sara & Colum's this morning for the second half of our adventure. First major point of interest will be Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. Traveling through west Texas was new territory for us. Enjoyed going through Fredericksburg - advertised as "Peach Country." It lived up to its name. After going through downtown, there were peach roadside stands everywhere. We finally stopped to buy some peaches for the ...

Jeff's family headed back to Newtown PA today. Dad toolk them to the airport at 6:30 AM. They arrived home safely, happy to see temperatures in the 70's. Did you know Giselle hates the heat? No one can understand like mothers how important it is to get the whole family together. Doing it in Texas was extra ...

The show featured Beluga Whales, pacific white sided dolphins, tropical birds, and aquatic acrobats. One of the acrobats ...

Gathered at Sara & Colum's for breakfast tacos from Dan's Hamburgers. It has become a tradition of ours ever since Chad & Monica introduced them to us. I have yet to have a hamburger from Dan's Hamburgers but they have the best breakfast tacos in town. We spent the day exploring the Splash Parks in Austin. Not sure if the temperature reached100 degrees but it sure seemed like it. The children loved the splash pools and the adults looked for ...

... but by the time we pulled into the visitors center at the park, the sun was starting to peak out from behind the clouds, but then it was humid. Anyway, we drove over to the falls area, parked the car and walked down to where the falls would be if there had been more rain. Actually glad it didn't rain a lot since that area is subject to flash flooding and over the years, several people have lost their lives there.

The boys started climbing on the rocks ...
