Day 60 (June 15) -- Happy Father's Day! Denis will have a wonderful day at the big race today. He wasn't going to go over till 11:30 or so (race is at 1pm) but once he was ready he was just like a big kid, afraid of missing something and, of course, this is the last day. ... cumulative effect of alcohol (is there such a thing) may also play a part, though, as the weekend progresses. Time will tell. Still not hating the time here... the sun is out today without the cold wind and I've been reading lots and just plain relaxing. Life is still good. Maybe not at 2am when you wonder when the noise will end despite all windows and vents being closed but now, in the warmth of a new day.
Day 57 (June 12) -- Today was a laid-back day. We did go for a walk to the racetrack to see some of the trucks that were in and the Titan trucks that are used to dry the track in case of rain. Day 56 (June 11) -- Yesterday we just stayed in the campground and did some cleaning and organizing of Harvey and walked and played crib and generally relaxed. Overnight the rain came in but by the time we hit the road this morning it had eased.
